Mental Tuesday with Raluca Croitoru and the Romanian Mental Health Film Festival 13.01.26 – 19:30–22:30 | WOLk This special edition is organized in collaboration with visual artist Raluca Croitoru and the Romanian Mental Health Film Festival. The evening opens with an online conversation with the festival’s founders, followed by a screening of Imaginary Youth (2024), a documentary by Ruxandra Gubernat. The documentary follows three Romanian teenagers — a rapper, an environmental activist, and a young actress — over the course of their final years of high school as they face the emotional and social challenges of coming of age. Filmed over four years, it reveals their hopes, doubts, and difficult decisions about leaving home, pursuing education or creative dreams abroad, and making sense of life during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, while navigating family expectations, societal pressures, and their own search for identity and belonging. After the screening, an online Q&A with the filmmaker will take place, followed by an informal group discussion. Glitter hair extensions will be available for anyone who wants to relive their youth with a touch of sparkle.
